Logility Voyager Supports Strategic Growth at Simplot
A recent supply chain transformation impacted all areas of the J.R. Simplot business to improve demand planning, align inventory and leverage new production assets for an exciting investment called Project Idaho. The effort included network changes, a new state of the art production facility, deployment of Logility Voyager Solutions and changes for the Simplot team.

Keynote Speaker: John Ball, Senior Director, Optimization
Bio: John Ball is Senior Director, Optimization for JR Simplot Company’s North American Food Group. He is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Simplot’s IT Systems roadmap, managing demand planning and the new product introduction process, as well as overseeing various business development and process optimization initiatives.
Prior to joining Simplot, John was a partner in HB Strategy Group where he participated in both consulting services and the turnaround and growth of businesses within the HB Ventures portfolio. John also spent more than two decades at Hewlett Packard Company where his responsibilities included the development and execution of HP’s channel strategy, as well as several product introductions within HP’s profitable printer business.
John holds an MBA from the University of Utah and BA in Political Science from Boise State University. Additionally, he sits on the Board of Directors for Simplot’s MarBran joint venture, which is the largest provider of broccoli and cauliflower in North America.
